Historic Mansion – 19th Century
Located in a 1850 historical coffee farm, the Hotel Santa Teresa Rio MGallery is a truly urban retreat with a boutique style in the heart of the neighborhood of Santa Teresa – also known as The Montmartre Carioca.
The hotel’s decor and architecture are inspired by the cacao and coffee golden eras, imparting sophistication and elegance with the use of noble and ecological materials from the lands and cultures of Brazil. Burned cement, lime, wine or golden slate, tropical woods, banana, buriti or bacaba fibers are blended into its contemporary design by Sergio Rodrigues, Rock Lane, Studio Vitty, Zemog and Oficina de Agosto.
With unique personality and high quality gastronomy, the Hotel Santa Teresa confers an attractive sense of place and contributes to local culture through community involvement and sustainability.
With a privileged location, the hotel is close to downtown and renowned tourist attractions such as Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, Copacabana and Ipanema Beach, and ten minutes away from Santos Dumont Airport, Municipal Theater, National Historical Museum, Tijuca Forest, Aterro do Flamengo, Marina da Gloria, Museum of Tomorrow, Museum MAR, AquaRio and Porto Maravilha.
