Paraná offers ecological variety and historical and cultural wealth for all tastes. The Serra do Mar costal mountain range separates a coastline cut by beaches and islands from a plateau, where monuments are found such as Vila Velha (the “Cidade da Pedra”), the canyons of Guartelá and the Foz do Iguaçu Waterfall, between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Cities dating from the gold cycle and “tropeirismo” coexist with metropolises like Curitiba, considered a model for its organization and quality of life.
